Of birds and weekends

weekends for me mean two days of relaxing and doing nothing at home.. away from the noise and pollution of city. these days the small garden at my home is inhabited by birds... so many of them. some ( i am told these type are called sparrows) come for the grains sprinkled by mom and dad ..and many come for the fruits and flowers in the garden. it is great watching them..there are as many types as are the flowers.. and all are beautiful and their chirping adds to their beauty.

the sparrows all look the same.. it is difficult to identify and try to remember any of them. but one of them i have been seeing since many weeks.. she ( She? .. well ya thats my guess) has only one leg.. and that is the reason i can identify her. she struggles on her one leg and picks up the grains. i like her the most .. she is the last one to fly away if i try getting nearer... may be she recognises me and trusts me .. :). Will take her pic and post it here one day.

it is monsoon time here.. and the sky is filled with clouds forming different patterns. it is more beautiful and colourful at evenings. at evenings the sun rays spread different colours on these clouds ... sky itself has differents shades of blue in different corners. In this background it is enchanting to see the birds returning home . My home town seems to be home for hundreds and thousands of birds.. and am enchanted by the beauty of the sky at evenings when these birds return home. a beauty which is not seen in the city where sky scrapers , pollution and noise hardly allow one to enjoy nature.
